Bobby joined DickersonBakker in 2021 bringing his expertise working with stakeholders across the world as well as local communities to optimize corporate, individual, and foundation funding for organizational projects and operational needs.
Bobby is part of a rare group of professionals who don’t just ‘do’ development but ‘are’ development. Armed with an understanding that the field of development and fundraising is a calling and not just a job; Bobby has established himself as a global leader in strategic Corporate Relations & Donor Development for more than 30 years. He has traveled the globe leading Donor Development and Donor Relations teams for some of the world’s largest faith-based nonprofit organizations such as Mercy Ships, International Bible Society, and the Christian Broadcasting Network; helping to elevate donor giving into an act of transformation rather than from one of transaction.
Bobby is a strong man of faith which provides the wisdom and strength that is evident in everything that he is a part of. His true joy comes from bringing people together to accomplish large goals with an outcome that benefits all. Bobby considers and values every person he communicates with and meets, which also has led him to mentor staff and professionals to achieve greater success. He offers his expertise in development and relationships to enhance and encourage growth for DickersonBakker clients.
Bobby was instrumental in scouting out the Cape Town, South Africa location for Mercy Ships. Mercy Ships was the first non-profit that was issued a 501c3 status in New South Africa. His two oldest daughters grew up in Africa. Bobby and his family also lived on board a Mercy Ship. After 13 years with Mercy Ships, Bobby and his family moved back to the United States and currently reside in Colorado Springs, CO. A native of Texas, Bobby is married to his wife Melody of 35 plus years. Bobby and Melody have three daughters and have been blessed with three incredible grandchildren.
