We understand that raising money for The Salvation Army requires a unique approach. You don’t raise money for “street-level” ministry like you would for a college, university, hospital, museum, or any other type of nonprofit.

As a staple in the community, you serve as an important function and are a vital those in need of a handout and a hand up. You may also have a robust donor list from years of direct mail fundraising, supporting relationships with local churches, and often have opportunities for broad community support from local businesses, corporations, and foundations. But in many cases, you do not have wealthy clients, an abundance of volunteers, or engaged advisory board members. And chances are, your Area Command, Adult Rehabilitation Centers, and Corps are under-resourced and short-staffed, trying to make a dime to do the work of a dollar.
